TillDone Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

TillDone (Android package: com.obaylabs.tilldone) is provided by ObayLabs ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use TillDone, including reminders, completion history, widgets, backup and restore, and TillDone Pro purchases.

1. Information processed on your device

TillDone stores the following information in the app's local storage to provide its features:

  • Reminder titles, dates, times, time zones, repeat rules, reminder intervals, and reminder identifiers.
  • Reminder status, snooze times, notification counts, and related timestamps.
  • Completion history, including a snapshot of the reminder title, occurrence time, completion time, and notification count.
  • App preferences, such as theme, default intervals, onboarding status, and notification sound-profile selection.
  • A cached indication of whether TillDone Pro is unlocked.
  • If you choose the optional seven-day Pro trial, its start time and latest observed time, used locally to determine trial access. Trial access is separate from purchased access and does not create a charge or subscription.

This information is used to display reminders and history, schedule and repeat reminders, apply your preferences, show widgets, and enable purchased features. Reminder content and completion history are not sent to a server operated by us. TillDone does not provide a TillDone account or an automatic reminder-sync service.

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone. It contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK, and we do not sell your reminder information or use it for advertising.

2. Notifications, widgets, and Android access

TillDone uses notification permission, where required by Android, to display reminders. Exact alarm access is used to improve reminder timing. Boot and system-event handling allow the app to restore reminder scheduling after a restart or relevant system changes. Vibration is used according to notification settings.

Reminder titles may be visible in notifications, on your lock screen, and in home-screen widgets. Anyone who can see those surfaces may be able to read them. You can manage notification permissions, lock-screen visibility, sound, and vibration in Android settings, and remove widgets from your home screen.

If you select a custom notification sound, Android's sound picker provides the selected sound reference for the notification channel. TillDone does not scan your media library. Android manages notification-channel sound and vibration settings.

3. Backup, restore, and device transfer

Manual backup is optional. When you export a backup, TillDone writes reminder information and completion history to a JSON file in a location you choose using Android's document picker. When you restore a backup, the app reads the file you select and merges its reminder and history records into local app storage.

Exported backup files are not encrypted by TillDone. They may contain sensitive information you entered in reminder titles. Choose a trusted destination and protect access to your files. If you choose a cloud document provider, that provider may upload, store, or otherwise process the file under its own policies. TillDone does not automatically upload or sync your reminder database to that provider.

Manual backups do not contain your Pro entitlement, app preferences, notification sound profiles, or Android permissions.

The app's configuration excludes its reminder database from Android cloud backup. Other app data, such as preferences, may be backed up by Android depending on your settings. Android or your device manufacturer may also transfer app data when you move to another device. Those system services are separate from TillDone's manual backup feature and are governed by the relevant provider's settings and policies.

4. Google Play purchases

TillDone Pro is an optional lifetime, one-time purchase processed by Google Play. TillDone uses Google Play Billing to obtain product and price information, check purchase status, and restore purchased access. For purchase verification, the app sends the Google Play purchase token, product identifier, a random request identifier, and a Play Integrity token to our billing-verification service hosted on Google Cloud Run over HTTPS. The service checks purchase status with Google Play and acknowledges completed purchases. Reminder titles, completion history, backup files, and notification sound references are not included in these requests.

You may explicitly start a free seven-day Pro trial without payment. It does not automatically become a purchase or subscription. Trial timestamps are stored only on the device, excluded from TillDone's manual backups and Android backup/transfer, and are not sent to our billing service. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes that local trial record. After expiry, existing reminders are retained and continue working; new Pro-only configurations require purchased access.

Play Integrity is used to help verify that the request comes from the official Google Play-distributed app on a supported device and that purchase-verification requests have not been modified or replayed. Google processes app, licensing, and device-integrity information to provide this service. Our backend processes the resulting integrity verdicts and purchase status to enable purchased features and protect against abuse. Google Play may also send purchase-status notifications to our service through Google Cloud Pub/Sub so completed purchases can be confirmed when the app is closed. Google responses and notifications may include order identifiers and purchase-related timestamps; these are processed with purchase status and are not intentionally included in our application's logs.

The app stores a locally cached indication of server-verified Pro access for offline use. Our billing service does not maintain a separate user-account or reminder database, and application logs are designed not to include purchase tokens or integrity tokens. Google Cloud may process technical request metadata, such as IP addresses, request time, URL, response status, and user agent, for hosting, operational logging, and security. We do not receive your payment card details through the app or verification service.

Google Play services require network connectivity; the app includes internet and network-state permissions through its dependencies. This does not provide us with a server-side copy of your reminders.

Google processes purchases and related account and payment information under its own policies. We do not receive your payment card number through TillDone. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy. Deleting TillDone data does not delete Google's purchase records or automatically refund a purchase.

5. Retention and deletion

Reminder information and preferences remain in local app storage until you delete them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup and restore behavior.

  • You can edit or delete individual reminders in TillDone.
  • Deleting a reminder does not delete its completion-history snapshots. Use Clear history in the app to remove completion history.
  • To remove the app's local reminders, history, and preferences together, use Android settings to clear TillDone's app storage or uninstall TillDone.
  • Exported backup files are independent copies. Deleting reminders, clearing history, clearing app storage, or uninstalling does not delete those files. Delete them separately using your file manager or chosen storage provider, including any provider-managed copies or trash.
  • Manage any Android backup copies through your device or backup-provider settings. Restoring a saved copy may bring back information you previously deleted locally.

Because we do not hold a server-side copy of your reminders or history, we cannot retrieve or delete those local records remotely. TillDone does not create a TillDone account, so there is no TillDone account to delete. Google Play account and purchase-record requests must be handled with Google.

Purchase and integrity tokens are processed to handle the verification request and are not intentionally persisted by our billing-service application. Operational logs and Pub/Sub messages may be retained by Google Cloud according to the service's configured retention settings. We use those records only for operating and securing purchase verification, not advertising. Contact us about applicable privacy requests relating to technical metadata; we may need additional information to identify a request. Removing local app data does not erase Google's purchase records or provider-managed operational records.

6. Security

TillDone keeps its local database and preferences in Android app-private storage, protected by Android's application sandbox and device security controls. The app does not add its own encryption to the reminder database or exported backups. No storage method is completely secure. Use a device screen lock, control notification visibility, and avoid putting passwords or other secrets in reminder titles.

7. Contacting us and your choices

For privacy questions, concerns, or requests, contact ObayLabs at hello@obaylabs.com. If you contact us, your email address and any information you voluntarily send will be used to respond to and resolve your request. Please do not send reminder backups, payment details, or other sensitive information unless necessary. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of that correspondence, subject to those obligations.

You control the local information you enter and can export, edit, or delete it as described above. Where applicable law gives you additional privacy rights, you may contact us using the same address. We cannot access device-only information remotely.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or its information-handling practices change. The updated policy will be published with a revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing materially different information handling.
